Lionel Urban
President
Lionel Urban is a mortgage industry veteran, with more than twenty years of experience in mortgage lending and real estate. Prior to founding PCLender, he was instrumental in building three companies: Aurora General Contractors, Island Community Lending, and InHouse Mortgage Corporation.
Mr. Urban enjoyed an accomplished early career with U.S. Bancorp, where he consistently ranked among the company's top producers, including three hundred mortgage specialists nationally; and with International Savings and Loan (acquired by City Bank), where he served as production manager of a team that worked to increase loan funding from $10 million to $35 million per month.
Notably, Mr. Urban also served as a regional manager for Colorado Federal Savings Bank, where he grew volume from less than $5 million to more than $35 million per month, while managing branch loan production, operations, secondary marketing, and compliance.
These diverse experiences have given Mr. Urban extensive knowledge of the mortgage banking industry, mortgage banking operations, and all phases of mortgage lending—from application through post closing, as well as secondary marketing.
Mr. Urban attended Washington State University in Pullman, Washington.
David Faulkner
Chief Information Officer and Founder
David Faulkner is responsible for PCLender's product design. He has more than seventeen years of experience with software development and relational database programming. From 1987 through 1994, he worked as a consultant specializing in high-end relational database solutions. He has coauthored a book on Delphi programming and contributed to two books on Borland's (Inprise's) Paradox language. He has also written numerous magazine articles and made many speaking appearances on Paradox and Delphi applications.
Mr. Faulkner graduated from Rutgers University with a BS in Electrical Engineering.
Timothy Buskirk
Senior Vice President, Development and Operations
Timothy Buskirk's primary focus is management of PCLender's product development cycle and corporate operations. Prior to joining PCLender, he held positions at Del Mar Database as vice president of sales and customer operations and vice president of business development. During that tenure he was instrumental in setting the foundation for the company's sale to a publicly traded mortgage technology provider. His other accomplishments there included building a nationwide sales force, enhancing the foundation for customer support and account management, and launching a new product.
Mr. Buskirk has more than fifteen years of mortgage experience. He has also worked as a mortgage operations manager, processor, DE underwriter, closer, and funder.
Sean Dugan
Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Sean Dugan focuses primarily on developing the corporate strategy for customer acquisition and revenue generation with PCLender's products and services. He spearheads sales and marketing initiatives, and is responsible for directing sales team initiatives and performance.
Mr. Dugan has more than eighteen years of experience in sales, marketing, and account management, including eight years as national accounts manager for Excite@Home. More recently he served more than four years as vice president of sales and marketing with Single Source Partners, a mortgage consulting firm assisting mortgage companies with the evaluation, selection, and implementation of technology services.
Mr. Dugan graduated from University of Georgia with a BA in Communications.
Stephanie Durflinger
Vice President, Customer Support
Stephanie Durflinger is a fifteen-year veteran of the banking industry, with experience in retail, commercial, and mortgage banking. As vice president of customer service, she spearheads programs that support PCLender customers' achievement of quality mortgage lending benchmarks, while providing timely expert guidance for specific operations-related issues.
Mrs. Durflinger has tremendous empathy for customers' experiences and needs. She gained a great deal of insight into the mortgage banking industry during her employment with First Collateral Services, where she specialized in both operations management and training of mortgage bankers. Prior to FCS, she was employed by Union Bank of California and NationsBank, holding management positions in commercial and consumer lending. She is an active member of the Mortgage Bankers Association, an Accredited Mortgage Professional, and a Certified Mortgage Banker candidate.
Mrs. Durflinger attended Los Medanos College in Pittsburg, California.
Jeremy Vierra
Vice President, Information Technology
Jeremy Vierra brings more than eight years of IT management experience to the PCLender management team. Prior to his six years with PCLender, he was employed by Memco Systems, a Hawaii-based technology consulting company, where he custom-designed databases for a multitude of customers and provided technology support for hardware, software, and networking issues.
At PCLender, Mr. Vierra manages the production environment as well as internal systems. He also manages all facets of network security and compliance audits, such as the SAS 70 Type II.
Mr. Vierra graduated from the University of Hawaii with a BBA in Management Information Systems.

Tony Clapes
Member, Board of Directors
Tony Clapes is an international technology lawyer and consultant on intellectual property management. In 1992 he was named one of America's top thirty high-tech intellectual property lawyers in a National Law Journal peer survey. Before entering private practice, he was assistant general counsel at IBM, where he managed large teams of inside and outside lawyers and paralegals.
Mr. Clapes attended Yale Law School and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He holds a BS in Aeronautical Engineering and Astronomy.
Joel I. Ferguson
Member, Board of Directors
Joel Ferguson has more than twenty years of experience in banking and real estate development. He founded and serves as president of Ferguson Development, a company specializing in large-scale commercial projects, and is a member of the board of directors for Capitol Bancorp Limited, a publicly traded bank holding company with more than thirty community banks. Mr. Ferguson also served as president appointee to the board of directors at Freddie Mac.
Philip R. Zimmermann
Advisory Member
Philip Zimmermann is the creator of Pretty Good Privacy (PGP), the first application of its kind and the most widely used e-mail encryption software in the world. He currently consults for a number of companies and industry organizations on matters of cryptography. Before founding PGP, Mr. Zimmermann was a software engineer with more than twenty years of experience, specializing in cryptography and data security, data communications, and real-time embedded systems. He has received numerous technical and humanitarian awards for his pioneering work. He is a member of the International Association of Cryptologic Research, the Association for Computing Machinery, the League for Programming Freedom, and is a Fellow at Stanford Law School's Center for Internet and Society. He is also chairman of the Open PGP Alliance, serves on the board of directors for Computer Professionals for Social Responsibility, and is on several advisory boards.
Mr. Zimmermann holds a BS in Computer Science from Florida Atlantic University.
